Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] sacred_harlot and myself celebrated our third anniversary. :-D

We went out and saw Deepa Mehta's film Water at the Cinema Nova in Carlton (another movie theatre which makes me realise what a lousy experience the big theatres provide). The film is the third in Mehta's Elements trilogy (the other two being Earth and Fire), and is about life in a widow's ashram in India in the late 1930s. i love Mehta's films: she does a wonderful job of raising political social issues in personal contexts, using historical events well as a backdrop.

Afterwards, [livejournal.com profile] sacred_harlot and i went and had dinner at an Indian café/restaurant we both love - the food there is just amazing! Yes, i am a slut for Indian food in general; but this particular café/restaurant makes me sigh with pleasure at every morsel of food i try to avoid wolfing down. :-)

So - a luverly day! i love [livejournal.com profile] sacred_harlot so much!
