naked_wrat went to a talk about sex work which had been organised by Scarlet Alliance. She's currently writing a report on the talk for her LJ, which i'm very much looking forward to reading. In the meantime, and further to my recent post about the human rights situation in Pakistan, i'd like to share a couple of links:

The woman involved in a high-profile rape case has led a protest march in the Pakistani city of Multan ahead of Tuesday's International Women's Day. . . .
Mukhtar Mai was raped, allegedly on the orders of a village council to punish an offence blamed on her brother.
