i've had enough of numerous people making claims and/or counter-claims without any supporting evidence, whilst at the same time demanding that i produce evidence for my own claims and/or counter-claims. Whether it's about gender identity, sexual orientation, the theory of natural selection, Linux vs. Windows, religious and/or spiritual beliefs, history, or whatever - i don't care. i hold my identity, opinions, beliefs and ethics to reasonably high standards of accountability, and from now on, whenever people challenge my identity, opinions, beliefs or ethics, i'm going to hold those people to those same standards. i'm no longer going to waste my time trying to have a discussion with people who are not only ignorant, but refuse to recognise that they are ignorant, and who refuse to consider any data that counters their ignorance. Given my physical and mental health issues, i simply don't have the resources necessary to engage in the kind of protracted, dumbed-down, "words of one syllable"-type discussions that are required when interacting with these people. And even if i did have the resources to do so, it would be an inefficient use of them; i'm sure i could use them more productively.

Finally, for those of you who think that "ignorance is bliss" - if that's your outlook on life, what on earth are you doing reading the journal of a hierodule of Baphomet?
