i've found it difficult to find time to write of late: whether in the form of posts here, replies to other people's posts, or sexuality-related essays that i'm wanting to add to the Pleasure Activism Australia Web site. Partly this is due to myself and members of my household / family having a rather unpleasant cold; partly it's due to having to do a variety of things related to a house inspection; and partly it's due to the screen on my old laptop finally becoming unusable. Although, sadly, some family members are still suffering from the cold, i'm on the tail end of it; the house inspection is done, with various issues on the property now resolved; and i have a new laptop. That is, "new" for me: it's actually a secondhand unit that's been refurbished. i must say that the old laptop, a Dell Latitude LS, gave very good service, particularly given that i pushed it beyond the use-case it was really designed for. Nevertheless, i definitely feel that i'm more productive with the new unit, though it's a bit odd having so much memory available (1G) - i've even run an OpenBSD image from within Linux via QEMU in addition to all the usual stuff i have running, and the swap space remained unused. Which is good, since the number of computers i sysadmin has recently again increased, leading me to install and learn Nagios to help me manage them more efficiently. Only six machines are involved at this stage, but i suspect that number will continue to increase, and i also suspect that a bit of extra effort now will save what's left of my sanity in the longer term. :-)

Anyway, bottom line: i'm hoping that i'll be writing more in the very near future.
