It turns out
naked_wrat has German measles! A doctor from the Prahran Market Clinic just made a house call, and confirmed the suspicions of
sacred_harlot (who used to work as a nurse - mmm, nurses! *drool*).
naked_wrat has been vaccinated for German measles, but apparently it's basically ineffective for 1-2% of the population. :-( i've been vaccinated myself, and so has my housemate, so we're both currently hoping that we are not also in that 1-2% of the population. :-/
Speaking of my housemate: when she read yesterday's LJ entry, she laughed out loud at the bit where i suspected that her organising was partly seeking the "satisfaction of chucking away a lot of the stuff she's seen me lug around over the years". So it seems my guess was accurate. :-)

Date: 2005-06-20 08:32 (UTC)At least if the stuff one has is organised and accessible, then it may be useful to keep said stuff. I have found I have kept stuff for reference, but can't get to it when I might need it so I look elsewhere anyway which is easier eg the net.
Resource materials that I have organised have been put in magazine boxes on bookshelves, which is much better that piled in boxes which are then piled on other boxes, which in turn get shredded by the cat ;) However my last move undid some of the good work I had achieved previously. :( Good luck! At least you have a trusted friend who knows you well to help. (Lucky person you!)
