1. I like the concept of "lease-to-own" although I didn't immediately apply it to actual owning/property but thought of it more along the terms of my own relationship, that stage where you're together and not going anywhere, but you haven't bound yourself by law to one another.
2. I'd like to hear more from you on what you say the difference between jealousy and envy is. In my mind. jealousy involves anger and envy does not. If my partner has dates coming out his ears and I don't and I wish I were him, I'm not jealous, I'm envious. Maybe I have it backwards, I'm not sure. In the case of my example, if my partner has dates coming out his ears and I don't, that feeling I get when I am mad/sorry he is so popular because then he won't be spending time with me - I don't know what that's called, other than "sad".
Re. 1: Well, we couldn't be bound together in law in any case, because Dee already has a husband. (Although, i'm not in a formal legally-recognised relationship with either of my primary partners, both of whom i'm nevertheless handfasted to.)
Re. 2: Essentially the distinction i make is that 'envy' is "i'm not getting X, and i wish i was", whereas 'jealousy' is "How dare person Y be getting intimate with person Z, who is all mine?" And anger might or might not be involved in either case.
