flexibeasti finally lodged the paperwork to officially change my name today! There have been so many obstacles placed in my way, over the course of many many months, all of which have prevented this from happening sooner, that once the lodgement was completed, i actually cried with relief. My new name is a central part of my trans identity (as implicitly recognised by those people wishing to reject my trans identity - or transgenderism in general - via their deliberate refusal to use my new name), and i'm looking forward to no longer having to use my old name in day-to-day situations . . . .
