i finally lodged the paperwork to officially change my name today! There have been so many obstacles placed in my way, over the course of many many months, all of which have prevented this from happening sooner, that once the lodgement was completed, i actually cried with relief. My new name is a central part of my trans identity (as implicitly recognised by those people wishing to reject my trans identity - or transgenderism in general - via their deliberate refusal to use my new name), and i'm looking forward to no longer having to use my old name in day-to-day situations . . . .

Yes it was a wonderful moment for you, although it took a few moments for it to sink in for me what you had actually just done at the time when you paid your money and we left the office :-D

Very happy for you Love, and am busy thinking about how we can celebrate your Name day when you receive the go ahead in 8 weeks or so time, Mmmm, curry does leap to mind - maybe we could all have a takeaway or something, and a glass or two of whatever turns peeps on, as for me it will be champas :-D
