This is my first 'proper' (i.e. memeless) entry for a couple of weeks.

In recent times, my health has been especially poor. Overall, i've been needing to sleep at least 14 hours a day (sometimes in a single block, sometimes spread over a few blocks), and i've been in quite a lot of pain, mostly in my legs. Occasionally the pain has got to the point where i can't concentrate on anything else.

Over the years a variety of meds have been suggested to me for relieving the pain, many of which were NSAIDs, but thus far nothing has worked. i'm currently trying Endep (amitryptiline), which was previously prescribed to people as a tricyclic anti-depressant, but is nowadays prescribed in much lower doses as a pain reliever. i think it's something that needs to build up in one's system before it begins to work, so i'll have to wait a bit before assessing its efficacy.

In the meantime, i've been struggling to get anything done. i did manage to finish off the PAA Events List program i was working on (please let me know of any events which may be appropriate for listing on the PAA site!), and i've generally been managing to do my share of the housework; but apart from that, i've not been doing much apart from keeping up with my daily reading (part of which involves collecting items for the PAA news feed).

My health problems restrict me enough as it is; it's even more frustrating when they restrict me more than usual . . . .

Sorry your dealing with so much pain, much love.

I have been there with the needing to sleep all the time (undiagnosed depression) and it sucks, really sorry you have to deal with it.

Thanks for the love, it's much needed! :-)

So how did your sleep problems end up getting sorted out? Were you eventually diagnosed and put on meds?
