Third, i discovered last night that despite claims to the contrary, Internet Explorer 7 doesn't seem to honour the position:fixed CSS property, even when pages have a strict doctype, as it's supposed to do. i discovered this by a friend of
naked_wrat's sending a screenshot of how the PAA Web site looks in said browser. As a quick fix, i removed that property from the site style sheet, which unfortunately changes the site behaviour; but i don't know if i could be bothered to set up an IE-specific fix.
