Pain

i've been in a great deal of pain today, particularly around my sacrum and coccyx. i've also been feeling very weak - i've only been able to move around rather slowly. All of which put me very much in the appropriate frame of mind for writing a comment in the [livejournal.com profile] malingerers community LJ in response to an entry by someone else who has fibro.

i'd really like to know why some days, like today, are so much worse than others. Is it the weather? Is it something i ate? Is it a combination of those, or something else altogether? It's difficult to tell: there are so many variables involved, and i know that the foods i've eaten in the last 24 hours are foods that i've eaten on a number of occasions without experiencing such noticeable side effects. i guess i really need to start keeping a diary of the weather, my food intake, and my 'wellbeing' level for each day, to see if i can find a pattern.

Ouchness.

Sometimes contracting a virus will aggravate rheumatic stuff, could that be it?

And it's been cold at night.

i don't think it's a virus . . . . if it is, it's a particularly sneaky one. :-)

It has been cold at night; that may indeed have something to do with it, although i radiate a lot of body heat and so typically find it easier to sleep on nights that are cold than on nights that are mild or warm.

Hi, was just wandering round 'friends of friends' (I've seen you post in a few communities we're both in). I gather you have Fibro? Don't know how much research has been done on this outside the trans community, but I was quite severely disabled with Fibro until I started on testosterone (I'm FTM). I went from using either walker or wheelchair and mainly housebound to being quite active, no longer dependent on 8 codeine a day, etc. I know there has been some research on T levels and their relationship to fibro I found online, if you want to hear more about it, or want me to send you what info I have on it (there's also a very quiet [livejournal.com profile] transfibrocfs community I set up about 18 months ago when all this happened where I posted some info. Give me a yell if you want more info. My main LJ (the non friends-locked one) is [livejournal.com profile] asimont but if you want access to this one, just leave me a message, I think we have enough cross-interests that you'd survive what I post in here.
Simon

Er, i'm already a member of the [livejournal.com profile] trans_fibro_cfs community, i think . . . . at least, i'm still listed on that community's user info page . . . .

Yes, i have fibro, or if not that, something which quite closely approximates it. :-) Last time i checked my testosterone levels - several months after i started taking estrogen - they were in the appropriate range for a woman. But i've had fibro for many years now, even during periods where tests of my testosterone levels showed them to be at an appropriate level for a man. Having said all that, my system seems to behave very differently from most people's (c.f. my entry on my erectile capacity not being negatively influenced by me taking estrogen), so my data should be probably be considered outlier data. ;-)

Finally, yes, please, i would like access to the [livejournal.com profile] xxasimont journal too. :-)
